Practical instructions for getting the most from Noor Al-Islam and understanding which features need an internet connection.
Install on your phone
On Android, open the website in Chrome and choose “Install app” where supported. On iPhone, use Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen. Websites cannot force installation; some browsers may create only a shortcut.
Enable prayer reminders
If you want prayer and important administrator notifications, enable notifications in the installed app. You may disable them in your phone settings. Delivery depends on your network, operating-system restrictions and Focus/Do Not Disturb settings. Full background adhan audio is not played.
Choose accurate prayer settings
Select your city, prayer calculation method, Asr school and any minute adjustments. Times are calculated for the chosen location and can differ from your local mosque or official timetable. When moving cities, reopen the app online so your new prayer preferences can sync to the server.
Read the Quran offline
While connected, open the Quran section and download the Quran text. Previously downloaded chapters can then be read offline on that device. Audio recitations, some commentary and external resources may still require a connection. Browsers may clear cached chapters to reclaim storage.
Privacy and support
Some preferences and bookmarks are stored locally. If you opt into Push, Supabase stores the subscription and prayer-location settings needed for delivery. See the privacy policy or contact LKode at lkode.tr@gmail.com to make a data-related request.
